Smile Leadership Ltd are currently seeking to represent a Head of School who holds experience in an SEMH setting. This school is based in the Staffordshire, West Midlands (ST10) area and is offered on a full time, temporary basis to start immediately or from September 2022. If you are an experienced Head of School or aspiring Head of School who has recently had a job within a SEND setting and are either local to or available to travel to the Staffordshire, West Midlands (ST10) area, we would like to hear from you. We are currently supporting a partner SEMH setting in recruiting a Head of School. This role is offered as a temporary post with potential to become permanent for the right candidate later in the academic year. This role will require mostly teaching responsibility with a subject specialty and other responsibilities. We are open to receiving applications from either a highly experienced Head of School or SEND teaching staff who are an aspiring Head of School within a SEMH setting and are looking for a new opportunity. Our partner schools host a range of SEND requirements and contains a very few number of pupils that require a dedicated and passionate individual.

To be successful in your application, you should have experience in one or more of the following:

• Hold a relevant UK teaching qualification
• Hold the national SENCO qualification or substantial experience as an acting SENCO (without acquiring the qualification)
• Ideally have knowledge of West Midlands LA procedures
• Exceptionally dedicated to supporting pupils with SEND
• SEN school experience in a similar role
