Smile Leadership Ltd are currently seeking to represent a Head of Key Stage 4/5 for a college in Salford, Greater Manchester (M50 area). This role is available immediately and is an interim position for 4-6 months. This role is offered on a full-time basis and hours are Mon/Tues 8:00-16:00 and Wed/Thurs/Fri 8:00-15:00. We are currently working alongside a college to support them with their Head of Key Stage 4/5 requirement. This role is term time only with some additional days when required, 37 hours per week. Daily rates are negotiable dependant on experience and start from £120-£250 per day. Closing date for CV submittal is the 24.03.23. If you are an experienced Head of Key Stage 4 with previous attendance responsibility and ideally experience in SEND who is available to start a new role immediately, please do not hesitate to get in touch. The core purpose of this role is to support, hold accountable and develop a team of tutors focusing on high standards of social, personal, and academic development of students. Also, support and work alongside the SLT and staff to provide leadership and management of the learning of all pupils within the key stage. To support, hold accountable and develop a team of tutors focusing on high standards of social, personal, and academic development of student. This role will require liaising with the school attendance officer and external feeder schools as well as organising key stage events for parents, assemblies, and examinations. Provide reports for SLT from CPOMs and SIMs. The correct candidate will implement the College’s ethos and evaluate the standards across the setting, whilst operating within the safeguarding framework.

To be successful in your application, you should have experience in one or more of the following:

• Hold experience within a College or Secondary school
• Experience with Pastoral/Attendance or SEND responsibilities
• Experience with SIMS or CPOMS
• Ideally have knowledge of Greater Manchester LA procedures
• Warm and caring personality, friendly and able to relate well to children and adults
• Organised with a positive outlook and a “can do” approach
• Be able to manage and motivate a team
• NVQ Level 3 for TA or equivalent
