Smile Leadership Ltd are currently seeking to represent an experienced SENCO for a forward-thinking Primary school in the Sandwell, West Midlands (DY4) area. The role is offered as a temporary post with the potential to apply for permanent later in the academic year. The right candidate will be required on a full-time basis to start from September 2022. If you are an experienced SENCO who has recently had a job within a Primary setting and are either local to or available to travel to the Sandwell, West Midlands (DY4) area, we would like to hear from you. We are currently supporting a Primary school in recruiting an experienced SENCO. The job is offered as a full time, temporary post with the potential to become permanent. The role will usually include an element of teaching responsibility. We are open to receiving applications from either highly experienced SENCO or SEND teaching staff who are aspiring SENCO and looking for a new opportunity. Our partner school hosts a range of SEND requirements and are for Primary aged pupils. Their needs vary but predominantly we are working with settings for pupils with ASD or SEMH.

To be successful in your application, you should have experience in one or more of the following:

• Hold a relevant UK teaching qualification
• Hold the national SENCO qualification
• Substantial experience working within a Primary school
• Ideally have knowledge of West Midlands LA procedures
• Exceptionally dedicated to supporting pupils with SEND
• Primary or Secondary school experience in a similar SENCO role

Due to Covid-19 a flexible interview process is in place for this role. A video meeting with a Smile Leadership representative will be arranged for applicants as a first stage interview.
