Smile Leadership Ltd are currently seeking to represent an experienced school Business Manager for a primary school based in Bolton, Greater Manchester (BL7) area. The role is available to start immediately and offered as a part-time 2 days a week, interim position with the potential to become extended to a full-time possibly permanent role. The pay rate is between £120-£150 per day dependant on experience. If you are an experienced School Business Manager who has recently completed a similar role for a Single-Academy Trust and are either local to or available to travel to the Bolton, Greater Manchester (BL7) area, we would like to hear from you. We are currently supporting a primary school in recruiting a Business Manager. Typically, the main duties of the role are, but are not limited to, ensuring the school are following all elements of statutory compliance for the Trust as outlined in the latest version of the Academies Trust Handbook. being responsible for finance, personnel, premises, administration and all matters within the management of the school which are supportive, to but do not involve, the teaching function. You will also work as part of the SLT and provide reports to other members of the SLT including trustees and board members. Other duties may include planning budget spend on school, controlling costs and reducing when necessary, building relationships with suppliers and contractors to source the best value for money, arrange staff payroll, handle all school service contracts, and oversee tenders for services such as catering, cleaning and IT support. We are open to receiving applications by 07.03.23 from school Business Managers with school setting experience or Business Managers with knowledge of Singular-Academy Trusts. To be successful in your application, you should have experience in one or more of the following:

• Hold a relevant qualification
• Experience within a school Business Manager role
• Substantial experience working within a school or Singular-Academy Trust
• Ideally have knowledge of the Greater Manchester LA procedures
• Knowledge of school systems
