Smile Leadership Ltd are currently seeking to represent an experienced Finance Director for a West Midlands based Multi Academy Trust (B37 5FD). The post is available immediately on a part-time basis, up to around 22.5 hours per week, ideally over a three-day working pattern (0.6). This role is offered on a permanent basis and an immediate start is available. The Trust is seeking to appoint a highly professional and adaptable individual to support the COO and the Principal in the day-to-day financial running of the Academy Trust. A background in school or MAT finance roles would be advantageous. The core purpose of this role is to provide clear financial and commercial strategy and direction for the MAT. You will be responsible for managing all aspects of financial planning, monitoring and reporting, take on executive responsibilities as part of the Senior Leadership Team and undertake the operational line management of the finance function and financial administration team. The Trust comprises of two Academies and they were initially formed between a partnership of the University of Warwick and with the support of national, regional and local businesses such as Jaguar Land Rover, National Grid, and Rolls-Royce. The Academies follow an 8.30am – 4.30pm timetable (Tuesday – Thursday) with a wide range of enrichment opportunities offered to students including the Royal Navy Engineering Challenge and the European Space Agency's CanSat project. Students also have access to resources at the local University. On Mondays and Fridays students leave at 3.20pm.
To be successful in your application, you must have experience in one or more of the following:
• Hold a formal accountancy qualification such as AAT
• Significant post-qualifying experience in a similar financial role
• Experience of working at a senior level
• Experience of producing financial and management accounts and budgetary control
